Predictive Analysis
Predictive analysis uses measured or best estimate material properties, actual or assumed beyond design-basis loading that often arises from probabilistic risk assessment, and material models that accurately predict observed or measured material response, such as elastic-plastic, creep, thermal degradation, and damage or cracking. Linear elastic modeling such as RSA cannot be used for this purpose. Acceptance criteria for predictive analysis is typically accomplished through technical review and approval. Predictive analysis requires considerable skill and experience.
